Directions to the site:
This is a general placeholder for several X/C thermal sites we use in the Hillsboro area. Take US26 west of Portland to the North Plains/ Glencoe road exit. Turn south, then west at the next light. We have several sites in this area that we use, and won't know specifically which one to use until the crops are cut. In general, we use the area around Verboort (Roy Rd, Cornelius-Shefflin Rd, Verboort Road, etc) as our 1st choice. We have also used the area just north of the full-sized gliderport (closer to North Plains).

Contact the X/C contest director a couple days before the event to get specific directions to the site.

Review of the site:
Miles and miles of open farmland (hay, alfalfa, clover, orchards) with good roads. Ideal X/C site, although getting more crowded on the roads each year. We usually have 2 cross-country races each summer.
